BIO
Jasmine Mason (b. 1998, San Antonio, Texas) is a visual artist working primarily with ink and acrylic paint to create drawings and collages on paper. Her ambiguous narratives emerge from personal and introspective moments, exploring themes of self-reflection and the human experience. She currently lives and works in the Atlanta metropolitan area, where she enjoys spending time with her dog and family.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My work stems from introspection rooted in quiet observation, life experiences, and interpersonal relationships. Through worldbuilding, I explore the often unspoken aspects of the human experience. Drawing in pen and ink mirrors the cathartic act of journaling, while painting and collage allow for broader experimentation. Using nature as a symbolic language, I create narratives that reflect the complexity of self-exploration—a journey as murky and erratic as the landscapes I invent. The figures in my work navigate moments of stillness, hardship, grief, or enlightenment, inviting the viewer to reflect on what may resonate within themselves.
